Date: Sunday, May 31, 2009 Posted By: Barton Brooks The night started out pretty well. The #97 car has been struggling with a loose off condition for a few weeks and we think the issue has been addressed. He ended up 4th quick and 5th in the dash.
After the dash still fighting a loose off condition we decided to make a few more changes. When Feature time rolled around, The car was really good. Matt made some really good moves to start making his way through traffic. Woodin slipped by on the outside just before the first caution for Chris Garret spinning in turn 1 with a left front flat tire. The track was cleaned up and Garret was able to continue. When we went back to green about 8 laps later, Matt made a really good move to get back by Woodin and was on the outside of the #1 car when the #15 car of Mellinger spun coming out of turn #2, suddenly the #1 car made a right turn into Matt, tearing up the left front of our car. After this incident the car was very ill handling and he fought his way to a 6th place finish.
This week we are going to address a shock issue and, replace a few bent parts on the left front. We will get the car back to where it was at and, give it another try.
We would like to give a Shout out to the Vanavery Boys. They brought out two very good looking cars, and have been running really good this year.
I'm having issues getting the pictures up online, we have lots of pictures to get on the site so be patient. I will also try to get the website updated every Sunday!
Until Next Week, Barton
